Yukizu ran. Oh boy did she run. Dashing down the streets of the mountainous city. Faster. Faster she ran. She loved to run. To feel her feet slap against the earth, the wind in her dark hair. It was almost like flying. She lept up in a small attempt to fly like a bird or airbender. An airbender. That's what she wanted to be. She could soar in the clouds and feel the wind without even trying. She closed her eyes and held out her arms, pretending to fly. She could see the forever blue sky, feel the cool breeze. Oh look a cloud. They must be soft. She banks right headed for the cloud.

BANG!

"ow... Clouds hurt..." Yukizu opens her eyes and sees she ran into a building, not a cloud. "Ugh... I need to stop running with my eyes closed."

Rozu was walking through the town of Omashu, sight seeing and things like that. He didnt plan on staying in Omashu for long he wanted to go go Gaoling and see the things there. But he figure he would take his time getting there. He spotted a young girl just running through the city, it looked like she was running from something or someone.

She was looking up at the sky which was kinda dangerous, Rozu smirked she was cute little girl. But then he noticed she closed her eyes and somehow Rozu knew she was in trouble.
Then came the long BANG!

Rozu looked shocked no one else noticed this girl just ran into a wall hard. Rozu went quickly to the girl, and had a cloth out. He bent down to make sure she was ok. "You really shouldnt be running like that with your eyes closed." he said he didnt want to touch her head cause he thought she would freak out. But he did want to examine it, and make sure she wasnt hurt to bad.

Yukizu looks up at the strange man with curious eyes. "I know but I can't help it. The sky is so pretty. Airbenders are lucky." She straightens up and puts a hand to her a cut on her head, seeming not to be too worried about it. 'Oh no, another cut,' she thought to herself, 'better cover it quickly.' She looks over her clothing and checks her pockets to see if she had any strips of fabric to tie over her head.

"Curses." Her pockets were empty. She looks up at this new man. Who was he anyway? She stands straight, trying to look taller and more grown up. "Umm I'm Yukizu! Nice to meet you!" She said rather quickly and holds out the hand not pressed to her dirty cut in a stout manner in her attempt to be polite to the stranger. She wasn't very good at meeting new people but always tried her best to look grown up when meeting an adult. With kids it was easy though. She would tag them and run off, then most of the time they'd give chase. But this was different. This was an adult man. Maybe someone who'd come to adopt. She had to try her best not to mess things up. Her hand remains firm and extended awaiting the stranger's grip.

Rozu giggled she was cute little girl. He took off his red scarf and wrapped it around her head for comfort. "There you go Yukizu, its nice to meet you to. My name is Rozu." He said kindly usaully Rozu was to serious for children but the little one had a way of bringing out the light in him. He smiled and stood up. "Well Yukizu you look hungry why dont we go out an get something to eat." Rozu said holding his hand out for the girl.

He was in a good mood, and from the looks of this girl she didnt have alot. Rozu thought about taking care of the girl but he couldnt he was too young. But depending on the info he found he would try an get Yukizo a family if she needed one. In his heart Rozu was a giver and he couldnt help but just help people out anyway he could.

Yukizu beams at her new found friend. At least she hoped he was a friend. She gripped his hand, "Really? Thank you! I'm starved," she liked this man. This Rozu fellow. She kinda looked like someone from the firenation with that scarf on her head. She touched it with a giggle at the thought of it. "I like this color. It hides bleeding cuts the best. Now i don't have to decorate it too much." Yukizu looks at the various wraps on her hands , arms, feet, legs, decorated with ink drawing of flowers, clouds, and the air symbol, all in as many colors she could get her hands on, which wasn't much. "I'll give your scarf back when you want it back, Rozu." She turns her gaze back to the tall man.

(Im sorry about last night i got home really late and went to sleep I didnt see u on chat lol)

Rozu started walking to the closest food place slowly so she can keep up. She was rather short, and he didnt want to walk to fast for her. "Its no problem. just promise me no more running with your eyes closed." he joked.

She started speaking about his scarf, it was his brothers but he had no problem giving it away. She said she liked it, Rozu thought it can instantly be hers. He can just by another red scarf when he wants. But Rozu noticed she said "hiding bleeding cuts the best." Rozu raised an eyebrow in surprise and sighed perhaps this girl was in more trouble then he thought.

"Its ok Yuki keep the scarf its yours, dont worry about it." They arrived at the store, and Rozu got two seats by the window. He gestured for her to sit, and he sat in the other seat himself. The waitress came by with a smile. "What can I get you two?"

"I'll take some eggs, bacon, and toast, what do you want Yukizu?" he asked looking at her.

Yukizu walked slightly behind Rozu. A big smile creeped its way to her face when he said she could keep the scarf. "Thank you Rozu, sir," she beamed happily. This was going to be a great day. She met a nice man who offered her a pretty scarf AND food. Yukizu practically was skipping along side him she was so happy.

When they arrived at the resturant, she was surprised. She did not expect to sit down and eat. She thought they were just going to go to the market and have fruits. Is this man rich? Yukizu sat down in the seat kinda slowly. Still taking in the fact that this was a sit down place. Bacon? What was bacon? Eggs go in bread right? Had she had them before in this way? Maybe. She had toast before by accident and liked it. "I'll have what you're having! I've never had bacon before. Waht is it?" She asked that last part quitely, not wanting to look dumb.

Rozu looked shocked. "Never had bacon before? Wow you really got to get out more Yukizu. But trust me you will love it. Well for starters it comes froms pigs, and they cook it's plenty good. Give it a try I think you'll like it." Rozu said with a smirk.

Rozu crossed his arms and sat back getting comfortable. He looked at Yukizu's bandages, in his mind he was very concerned. But he didnt want to show it, he didnt want to make Yukizu nervous around him. If anything Rozu wanted Yukizu as comfortable as possible, and the way to a child is food. Rozu put his elbows on the table, and looked at Yukizu. "So tell me Yukizu, where are you from?" he said to start a light convo with the child.

Yukizu was kicking her legs under the table, swinging them as they didn't touch the ground. she was looking around not noticing that Rozu asked her a question. "Oh! Ummm..... I live here! In the orphanage," She points out the window. It wasn't just outside it was near the bottom of the town. But she never really stuck around, running off to play in the city. She smiles then looks at how far the ground was over the edge of the chair. She was high up. She looks around at all the other people eating and talking. They looked cleaner than her that's for sure. She looked at Rozu and met his eyes. He fit in here. He was dressed in clean clothes. Only the dust of the morning about him, which wasn't much. She nodded to herself. Yup. He's rich.

"The orphanage you say." Rozu didnt notice that, he shouldve though. The waitress came with their food two plates, of bacon, eggs, and toast. The waitress smiled and bowed down, and she walked off. "Well dig in Yukizu." Rozu said to her as he started to eat, hopefully she would enjoy the food. Rozu noticed her bandages, and wanted to question that aswell. but decided no to or not untill later. Her clothes were dirty, and untaken care of. Perhaps Rozu could go get her new clothes, that would be cool Rozu thought.

Girls like clothes right...

He thought for a second, it could be a surprise for her when she's done. Rozu never had that much experience with children, but he thought he was doing well. "So Yuki how bout we go get some new clothes for you. Would that be...cool?" he asked her eating a strip of bacon.

Yukizu looked at the bacon. It didn't look like she thought. But it certainly smelled good. She took a slow bite. It was good! She finished off her bacon fast, then ate her eggs in silence. She noticed Rozu asked her a question. She smiled and nodded with a full mouth. New clothes? Food, a scarf, clothes, bacon, Who was this man to do all these nice things? "Ptha wum be awrthum!" She said with a mouthful of eggs. This was the best breakfast ever! And Rozu was as kind as her former guardian in the southern air temple. She danced a little to herself in her seat, wiggling as she ate. Her mind going off into space repeating her thoughts without knowing it. She ate her toast quickly then looked at her new friend again, smiling big. She was so excited for either no reason or all the reasons in the world.

Rozu finished his food slowly, somewhow he understood what she said and smiled at that. She was seaking her thoughts outloud, which Rozu made sure to catch. She had a former gaurdian before...

Rozu used his napkin clean his face, and wipe his mouth. She was kinda a sloppy eater, it didnt bother Rozu she needed to learn these things and he guessed she wasnt properly taught how. Rozu scratched the back of his head, thinking what was he really about to do. He wanted to make sure this girl ended up safe and secure. He also wanted her to go to a doctor but that would be to much all in one day. He went in his bag and took out some gold pieces to pay for the food when Yukizu was finished eating.

After a moment of silence Rozu thought he could bring up another question. "Yukizu what are all the bandages for?"

Yukizu looks at Rozu then lifts her arms. "I get hurt lots. I like to play lots too. But I fall lots and get hurt. But it's ok. It doesn't hurt any more. I like to make them look pretty though. See? I painted on them. But I got some marks on my skin i don't remember where they came from. Probably from when I was really little. I don't remember much from then. But it's ok." She unwraps left her upper arm, showing a few large old scars and some other cuts around them. "See? I don't remember where these came from." she shrugs. Her dark and pained past was better to forget. That's what her airbender guardian said. So she forgot through a long complicated process. It was a past she was glad to forget. She was lost in thought, her face somber and dark. She forgot about where she was, who she was with, only thinking about her scars.

Rozu was starting to feel really bad for the youn girl. She said she doesnt remember, where the scars came from. Rozu looked shocked, when she showed him this was no joke to him. He got alittle angry that the tea in his cup started to overheat and smoke started to come out. He quickly controlled himself, with a deep breath. He didnt know this girl for long barely an hour yet, but yet he couldnt live with himself knowing she was hurt like that. Rozu wanted to get her to a doctor make sure she was healthy and safe, they were scars but still. But first he wanted to get her new clothes, a good number of them so she doesnt go out looking like this again.

He noticed quickly that she wasnt speaking or eating.

He place his hand on her face gently to try and get her attention. "Yuki, Yuki, Yuki! are you there talk to me." he said getting more and more concerned with each passing second she would go without replying.

Yukizu blinks and shakes her head. OH yeah. She was still with Rozu. She looked up at him and smiled. She noticed his hand was on her face. She put her hand over his then looked at his arm. Then quickly she looked back to his face. "Umm i'm ok." Her mind still stay in her past but she tried to ignore it. 'Think of something else....'
"Umm I think i like bacon" she smiles. Yes bacon. It was good. As good as Rozu said. It crunched in her mouth but it wasn't burned. It was like the toast. But better. Not much left to think there. 'Now what....' She couldn't think.

Rozu looked concerned for the childs general well being. He looked down taking his hand, back. He showed a slight smirk when she said she liked bacon, showing she was back him and hopefully she wouldnt space out to that extent again. His face went to calm and collecte he notice he would angry sometimes. "Yuki are you just about one eating?" he aske kindly with his eyes kinda wide.

Rozu really wanted to get her new clothes so she can get out of those rags. He figure no more question since it brang her bcak to a time she doesnt remember, an Rozu doesnt want her to remember either. Its better if its left in the past forgotten for her. If she remembered she would be haunted for life, he thougt. But he was still thinking who could hurt a little girl like that and still live with themselves.

Yukizu nods and wraps her arm back up. "Mmmhmm." She makes sure her arm is wrapped up tightly then looks up at Rozu. "I never sat in a resturant before to eat. Do you do this all the time?" She makes sure her little drawings are showing on her bandages. She smiles up at Rozu and kicks her legs again. She wondered if she was doing good with her adult friend. Or did she look like a fool to him? She worried about that but not too much. Her belly was full and her head covered. Things looked good to her.

"Umm from time to time, not all the time though. But I dont like coming here unless im with someone else like you." Rozu said kindly. He stood up and paid for the food giving the waitress a tip. They would walk out the store and Rozu stretched getting a breath of fresh air. He stretche long enough to get a crack in his back an arms. He needed that, his back was feeling a bit tight. Maybe it was his lack of training, his body is used to daily excersize and training and he hasnt done it for about two days.

He looked at Yukizu "So which clothing store u want to go to first."

Yukizu blinks. "I don't know. I've never done this before." she follows Rozu close behind, reaching for his arm and stays close. After her mind trip she was feeling a little scared. Her brain was telling her to be wary of strangers and Omashu was full of them. She didn't really realize it. Her hyper nature was suddenly dimmed. She couldn't tell herself but it was visible. She suddenly was more timid than usual, stepping lightly and cautiously looking around.

Rozu laughed a little a girl who has never been shopping, that was new. He noticed Yukizu was reaching for his arm and he let her grab it, they could have looked like brother and sister walking through town. She wasnt as lively as before and this bothered, him a bit. He figured he would take her to a local clothing store first to see what she likes and hopefully lighten her mood a bit.

They walked into a store, and the store owner approached them it was older women. She smiled at Yukizu. "Ooohhh I have stuff just for her size." Rozu smiled. "Good thanks." The older women went for Yukizu's hand. "Come with me child, your big brother could wait here." Rozu let her go. He was going to say something about the big brother comment, but he let is go.

Yukizu took the woman's hand and let go of Rozu. She looked kinda confused. She was silent, unknowing of what will happen. But went with the woman anyway. She looked around, seeing all sorts of outfits.

"Umm, I do gotta take off my bandages?" she asks the woman. Most of her cuts weren't healed all the way and her bruises were unsightly in some parts. The scars she didn't really care for since they kinda blended in with her skin. Her eyes meet the older lady.

The women took her to the back where most of clothes her size were. "Oh yes dear ima need those wrappings off sweetie." She said nicely to Yukizu. Rozu was in the front of the store looking at the clothes aroun trying to pretend he was interested in this stuff.

There was two women by young around his age, they winked at him. But Rozu thought they may have something in their eye, he was that oblivous to girl's advances on him. He contined to look at the clothes around, checking out other red scarfs to replace the one he gave to Yukizu. Rozu hoped that Yukizu was ok getting new clothes.

After a while Yukizu came out from the back, dressed in a new green and gold tunic with green pants under it. Her arms and legs were wrapped in new cloth but she insisted on keeping the scarf, since she loved it so much and it was the best present in the whole world to her. She smiled and did a little twirl for Rozu, feeling better with fresh new bandages, clothes, and her scarf present. "Lookie Rozu! It's got more colors than my old clothes!" She beams at the lady and gives a bow before running off to join Rozu by his side. She smiles a great smile at her friend.

Rozu was sitting down by a chair still getting looks from these women he didnt know why. Finally Yukizu came back out, and looked nice fresh with all new clothing. Rozu smiled she looked happy and back to her upity personality. "You look wonderfull Yuki." He said with a smirk. He walked over to the owner and payed her. Then whispered in her ear. "Can you set aside a couple of more outfits like that, I'll come pick them up later." the owner nodded.

Rozu went back to Yukizu. The girls were still looking at him this time even more attracted seeing he was such a nice guy. Rozu left his arm open for Yukizu to take his arm if she wanted. As they headed out the clothing store.

Yukizu grabbed Rozu's arm, giggling a bit. "Where are you from Rozu?" she remembers she doesn't know much about her friend. Only that he's rich and nice. She looks up at the tall man with a curious stare. She doesn't really pay attention to where she's going. She was more interested in Rozu. Why is he so kind? Why does he want to give her things? Does he want to be her daddy? She didn't know and was afraid to ask those questions. He might turn mean.
