Monster Hunt
~The world has seen it’s fair share of crazy things....luckily most of those things have vanished over time...well they had. Recently, creatures of legend have started to spring up all across the land. In different parts of the world beasts of legend have once again begun terrorizing the world. For fear of death the people and lords of the areas alike have come together for the purpose pooling their funds to offer large rewards for the creatures....dead or alive. If the so called Hunters have what it takes.
~Okay so heres how it works. If you think you gots what it takes, you are being summoned, called upon, or requested for your expert services. People gots monster problems and they need’em taken care of. You’ll be posting below if you are up for the task, and put in groups. This is how we will determine who goes after which creature. Now wether or not you want to team up for this party is up to you guys, however for the sake of the event we’re gonna ask you determine it from the jump. Meaning No saying, “Yeah lets be friends....” Then turn around and stab someone in da Back. If ya Wanna fight for it, fight for it. We’re gonna focus on the Hunt here ya dig?
Oh yeah, and these beasts of legend I mentioned.... They’ll be controlled by your’s truly, friendly staff and volunteers already selected to fairly control the beasts to provide a fun, engaging, and challenging event. And we are selected to control them based on skill, not popularity and it’s for your own good. We’re not trying to end the event in the first encounter with the beast your after, where would the fun in that be right?

| The Avatar Rules 1. The Avatar will be chosen by staff. We must have a good rper, who is very active (like on at least every day for at least an hour and posts every other day), must be dedicated. We don't want our avatars to quit after a week. Also must be a good fighter or at least be able to get better at fighting.
2. The Avatar can be killed. If they are killed in the Avatar state then the Avatar cycle will die. If the Avatar dies and is not in the Avatar state then there will be another chosen. We have decided as staff that if an avatar goes inactive that we will kill off their character and choose a new one. We've updated the plot so that we won't have to wait for someone to be born, rather they are chosen by the avatar spirit. If they are unworthy the avatar spirit will choose a new host body. See plot for more details.
3. Avatars must rank up like the rest of the site. Though they have more work for themselves. They must have a teacher in each art and can't learn from scrolls.
4. The Avatar is not all powerful. They must work hard and not metagame or godmod. This is why we normally like to have an avatar who is a good fighter.
5. The Avatar cannot master the Avatar state until they are an Elite Master rank.
6. The Avatar cannot control when they go into the Avatar state. A friend must be in grave danger or the Avatar's life must be in danger. To go into the state they must get permission from two admin to go into the state. Then they may do so in the thread. This prevents spamming of the Avatar state.
7. The Avatar state is very powerful but we limit it for a reason. You may NOT kill someone other than NPC's in the Avatar state. Since it is so powerful you must kill another character by being in your normal state. It makes it fair to the whole site. You may knock your opponents out, weaken them, or bind them in this state.
8. If the rper who plays the Avatar disappears then we will replace them and say that they were not worthy, that the avatar spirit deemed them unworthy. The avatar spirit will choose another and the host that had gone inactive will die. We know that people have real life problems but if you give no warning before hand or you are gone for too long we will replace you and kill off your character. If your internet goes out, it's YOUR job to get online and leave a post. Libraries have computers, people have cell phones, your friends have laptops, etc.
9. Avatar's only get one type of weapon and it must only be Beginner Level.
10. May only use types of bending like lava bending, etc when in Avatar state.
11. The Avatar state can only last up to six posts.
12. Only the Avatar may have a pet that bends elements. The pet may only bend one type and is very limited to what they can do. Only the simplest of bending.
13. May only have one pet.
