| Chi Blocking Name of style: Chi Blocking Rank: Apprentice-Elite Master Element: N/A Description: Chi blocking is utilized by hitting pressure points with "quick jabs" and "punches". You hit these pressure points with relatively light jabs using your fingers and knuckles. You can can use any of your fingers, such as disabling someone with your thumb. Someone can also use their feet to disable others' chi flow with a swing of their foot. Although a very useful method of fighting, chi blocking is most effective against an opponent not expecting such a light blow to be so devastating. It is less effective against someone who either knows chi blocking or who has battled a chi blocker in the past by the opponent being almost immune to the effects of the blocking of the Chi. This doesn't mean the Chi blocking has no effect, it simply means it's dim downed or harder to hit the points. Chi Blocking is a style of fighting which would make it very dangerous to a person the relies solely on bending. [this is a guide to show what rank you have to be to give the effects to someone for a certain amount of time. You may lower the time if you wish.] Apprentice- 1 opponent's posts (block chi) Beginner- 2 opponent's posts (block chi) Skilled- 4 opponent's post (blocks chi) 2 opponent's posts ( paralyzing one body part of enemy) Master- 6 opponent's posts (blocks chi) 4 opponent's posts (paralyzing 2 body parts of enemy) Elite Master- 8 opponent's posts (blocks chi) 4 opponent's posts (paralyzing all body parts of enemy) Note: The users of this style must do research on chi points in the body. Meaning you can't just say you got a part on the body in battle and it had a chi point there. You must do your research. Limited to three users on the site and must do 1500 word training post. | |

| Tessenjutsu Name of style: Tessenjutsu Rank: Apprentice-Elite Master Element: N/A Description: Tessenjutsu is the art of fighting with metal, or strong wood, fans. It is a rather uncommon martial art, the most famous practitioners being the Kyoshi Warriors of Kyoshi island. It is also not uncommon for commanders of armies to carry ceremonial fans along with them to the battlefield. Tessenjutsu is a defensive style until users reach a highly sophisticated usage of their fans. By applying the surface area of the iron fan in swift movements, users of this style can deflect multiple arrows, and redirect or parry sword strikes quite easily. Most other warriors are unfamiliar with Tessenjutsu, and Tessenjutsu users may find themselves at an advantage because of this. At the highest level of this style, the iron fans can strike offensively and be quite deadly if connected with vulnerable parts of the body. Common offensive usages of Tessenjutsu usually include disarming your opponent, and forcing them into submission. Strong Tessenjutsu users can fight against benders effectively by applying the same principles to deflect the various elements. Apprentice - At the starter level of Tessenjutsu, this style is at its weakest. Users will be lucky to deflect a few arrows, they are not skilled at deflecting sword blows yet. Disarming or harming their opponents is a dream at this stage. Beginner - The beginner of Tessenjutsu can be comfortable in deflecting arrows, they are working on deflecting sword and spear strikes. They cannot begin to use Tessenjutsu as an offensive style. Skilled - Experienced - Skilled users begin to show off the advantages of Tessenjutsu. Sword users unfamiliar with skilled Tessenjutsu usage will find themselves at a disadvantage. At this level, if facing a warrior less skilled then them, the Tessenjutsu user can easily deflect their sword strikes. Arrows are practically useless against skilled Tessenjutsu users. Tessenjutsu users can attempt to disarm their opponents or strike them with their iron fans at this stage. If facing an equally skilled opponent, the odds would be quite even. Master - Masters are experienced Tessenjutsu practitioners, and find themselves able to fight benders quite effectively by applying their deflecting principles to deflect various elements. Masters are agile, swift, quick, and lethal when given the opportunity. The basics of deflecting arrows, sword strikes, and disarming enemies come easy to the masters. Killing their enemies is a practiced art, but is also available at this level. Elite Master - Like all weapon styles, Tessenjutsu can reach a high level of sophistication. Users at this level can kill a person with one strike of an iron fan*, deflect entire volleys of arrows, and deflect most, if not all, blade strikes. A coin flip every other round can decide if the Elite Master disarms an enemy's melee weapon, if in combat, disabling them for that round. *Note: Only to be demonstrated on non-essential non-playable characters. God-modding is strictly not allowed in duels. | |

| Subject: Taekwondo Fri Oct 28, 2011 11:45 am | |
| Taekwondo Name of style: Taekwondo Rank: Apprentice - Elite Master Element: N/A Description: Taekwondo means to strike or break with foot or break with fist. Thus, taekwondo may be loosely translated as "the art of the foot and fist" or "the art of kicking and punching." It combines combat techniques, self-defense, sport, exercise, and in some cases meditation and philosophy. The art in general emphasizes kicks thrown from a mobile stance, employing the leg's greater reach and power (compared to the arm). Taekwondo training generally includes a system of blocks, kicks, punches, and open-handed strikes and may also include various take-downs or sweeps, throws, and joint locks. Some taekwondo instructors also incorporate the use of pressure points as well as grabbing self-defense techniques borrowed from other martial arts. The rationale is that the leg is the longest and strongest weapon a martial artist has, and kicks thus have the greatest potential to execute powerful strikes without successful retaliation. Taekwondo as a martial art is popular with people of both genders and of many ages. Physically, Taekwondo develops strength, speed, balance, flexibility, and stamina. An example of the union of mental and physical discipline is the breaking of wooden boards, bricks or tiles, which requires both physical mastery of the technique and the concentration to focus one's power. Apprentice - The starting learner of Taekwondo is a weak opponent, but strong-willed. He is willing to take on the task of learning Taekwondo, and there is much to be said about that in the first place. The apprentice can only use Taekwondo's most basic of moves. Take-downs, deflects, complex blocks, and sophisticated techniques are far from mastered. Beginner - The basics of Taekwondo using basic punches and kicking, the offense and defense of this style is fairly moderate at this rank. As a start it is not that powerful to handle benders, and or stronger opponents. Skilled - Experienced - The power of taekwondo is starting to show. The user is able to generate enough power to break through wooden boards quite easily. Their sweeping kicks and punching has increased in power and speed. Being able to move faster than the opponent that is of equal or lesser rank then them with simple strikes. Also the body of the practitioner is well developed being able to take a certain number of hits, while still being able to fight quite well. This is also the start of learning grappling techniques. Master - Taekwondo is very dangerous at this stage, able to break three boards of concrete with their fists and kicks using simple power. The speed of the user’s attacks is increased to a great level that behind its power is able to even keep up with benders. Being highly experienced fast, swift, agile and power behind their attacks makes master rank taekwondo users very deadly. One should not underestimate them, which is usually done. With enough preparation one could even break rock and ice with their fists alone, although this can’t be kept up for a while. Also master levels can use powerful grabs, take-downs, and sweeping attacks. Elite Master - The all powerful. The elite master of Taekwondo is force to be reckoned with. Strikes with their fists have enough power to break, through eight boards of concrete being just inhuman strength. The speed behind their attacks is just astonishing. The elite master level of Taekwondo truly has proven themselves to be on par with benders, using swift dodging and hard strikes. Also their grappling and joint locking if used on a lower rank can be enough to break bones. Being an elite master one can nearly predict the moves of the opponent, to react and better and more efficiently. Using basic power, speed, grappling techniques an elite master taekwondo user is very powerful. | |

| Subject: Capoeira Fri Oct 28, 2011 11:46 am | |
| Capoeira Name of Style: Capoeira Rank: Apprentice - Elite Master Element: N/A Description: Capoeira is known by its signature quick and complex moves, using mainly power kicks and quick leg sweeps, with some ground and aerial acrobatics, knee strikes, take-downs, elbow strikes, punches and head butts. Capoeira uses a series of complex movements to keep the opponent guessing and on their toes. Capoeira is perfect for the people that want to be unpredictable using swift movements to their advantage. Some say capoeira was developed while some non-benders were used as slaves for the earth kingdom. To fend off bending of all types using their erratic movements. Capoeira is a fast and versatile martial art which is historically focused on fighting outnumbered or in technological disadvantage. Rocking back and forth; to swing is the fundamental movement in Capoeira, important both for attack and defense purposes. It has two main objectives: one is to keep the user in a state of constant motion, preventing him from being a still and easy target; the other, using also fakes and feints, is to mislead, fool, trick the opponent, leaving them open for an attack or a counter-attack. This style carries a principle from all the four main bending arts, earth being patient and wait to strike, air using full evasiveness rather then blocking, waterbeing being that capoeira is full of versatility and using the said environment around them to their advantage, and fire using a dance that represents life and energy but also being ferocious when the time has come to strike. Apprentice-Beginner - Just being able to the basics of capoeira, using swaying motions to move side to side. Using more slower paced sweeping kicks as an attack, the user is just getting into the style as a whole. So his movements get a bit more predictable as the fight continues, and his strikes aren't that fast as well. But they carry power behind them, being able to trip up the opponent quite well Skilled-Experienced - Now more experienced with the style, the user really get to show what the style can do. Using the swaying motion quickly keeping the opponent on their toes, and also adding to the erratic movement of this fighting style. Being able to dodged even bending attacks if well placed and timed, there kicks carry a lot of power now and if landed can be pretty devastating to the opponent. Now using head strikes and hand stands for knee strikes, the user can truly use their whole body as a weapon. Leaving the opponent unknown from where they are going to strike from next. Master - At this level of power the capoeira style is truly amazing, the movements now fast and powerful. Using well placed kicks and elbow strikes, with enough power to break rock. Powerful head strikes, that can come around just about out of nowhere. Their body now under full control and mastery of this style, being able to get into any position necessary to counter other styles. Even forms of breakdancing is used, with many spinning kicks using hand stands to complete more leg focused attacks. Because of the fast movement of this style sometimes the user is untouchable during the fight, rarely ever blocking mostly using just evasiveness, but should the time come for blocking it is used. At this stage the user also makes great use of their environment, using almost everything around them to their advantage. Elite Master - The utter and complete masters of the capoeira style their movements cannot be read unless already comfortable with this style. Their sweeping kicks and other strikes are somewhat hard to defend against and dodge. Using all that was said above to a maximum level, being able to defeat benders just using this style. The user moves so fast with their erratic movements its almost impossible to keep up, plus the strikes are hard and powerful so being hit will cause pretty drastic effects. | |

| Kama no sutairu Name of Style: Kama no sutairu Users: Weaponry Users Description: - Spoiler:
This style uses the basics of the Kama - a scythe like weapon. Though this style is centered around a giant scythe that has a ball and chain connected to the bottom of the scythe. The ball is said to weight about seventy pounds, making it quite dangerous if you were hit by it. This technique has a good range and is quite deadly. Though using the ball and chain can make it slow and the added weight makes it even slower. Used correctly this style can give you an ultimate defense and offense. The scythe part is used for up close fighting. Slashes, hacks, and cuts tear your opponent apart. The user places one hand on the scythe and the other on the chain. There they can move their hand and throw the ball and chain at their opponents. It takes a moment for the user to reel the chain back in. If used correctly you can use the ball, chain, and scythe together as the ultimate style. Apprentice - Beginner: This style is just as dangerous to you as it is to your opponents. Be cautious when using it for one wrong move can make the ball hit YOU instead of your opponent. It is not wise to rely on this style if you are these two ranks. Mainly the scythe is all you can use, the ball and chain shouldn't be used. If used you have a fifty percent chance of harming yourself badly. Skilled - Experienced: You now know what you are doing. You don't have the total control of your weapon still, but the chances of you hurting yourself are 25%. That means one in every four posts you're going to hurt yourself! You don't have your defense up to par with the style but you do have an excellent offense. You may now start using the ball and chain for fighting, just be wary when using them. Master - Elite-Master: You have total control of your weapon now. You can use the ball and chain well and know what you are doing. Your defense is just as good as your offense. You are a master with the range and the weight isn't as much of a pain as it used to be. | |

The Way Of The Fighter
Name: Boxing Users: Anyone Description: Boxing is a combat style in which someone uses their fists with perfect effectiveness. Alongside being physical strong, boxers usually have more stamina, speed, and endurance then normal people due to training, which consists of running, punching, sparring, and weight lifting. Boxers are extremely dangerous up close due to the fact that this is mainly a punching style used with quick powerful blows. The punches carry more speed then power, but with the right amount of training, no matter how fast a boxer punches. The strike should always have the same amount of power within the fist. Once a boxer is up within a opponents personal space, he/she has the ultimate advantage. Boxers also work in the way of the feints, which misleads the opponent into thinking an attack is coming from one direction when really its coming from another. Boxing only has one weakness, and it's the greatest of them all. Seeing how this style is a hand to hand style, any distance longer then three meters becomes useless to the boxer for their arms cant reach, thus not causing any damage. But boxing has one giant advantage, something other fighting styles don't have. Boxing has many different forms of fighting, and these forms are:
- Outside Fighter* Outside Fighters seeks to maintain distance between himself and his opponent, fighting with faster, longer range punches, most notably the jab, and gradually wearing his opponent down. Do to their punches being weaker, the like to maintain the three meter distance while stepping in with great speed, throwing a few weak punches, and then retreat. They keep this pattern up until the opponent can no longer go on and when this happens, they'll throw a final barrage of punches taking them down once and for good. They are often regarded as the best boxing strategists due to their ability to control the pace of the fight and lead their opponent, methodically wearing him down and exhibiting more skill and finesse than a Insider Fighter. Outsider fighters need three things. One is reach, the longer the arms the better. But this isn't important because outside fighters are faster then any of the other forms of boxing. The second is reflexes, outside fighters have a reaction time 50% faster then the normal human body. So attempting to hit one straight onward isn't going to work. And the last is footwork. Footwork is the main weapon for any form of boxing, but the outside fighters seemed to mastered it the best giving them a speed boost of 50% faster then a normal person.
- Inside Fighter* An inside fighter is a well-rounded boxer who is able to fight at close range with a combination of technique and power, often with the ability to knock opponents out with a combination and in some instances a single shot. Inside Fighters throwing intense flurries and combinations of hooks and uppercuts. Many in-fighters utilize their stature to their advantage, employing a bob-and-weave defense by bending at the waist to slip underneath or to the sides of incoming strikes. Unlike blocking, causing an opponent to miss a punch disrupts his balance, permits forward movement past the opponent's extended arm and keeps the hands free to counter. A distinct advantage that in-fighters have is when throwing uppercuts where they can channel their entire body weight behind the punch. They can withstand a good amount of damage while throwing out even greater damage for themselves. Inside fighters normally have double the amount of stamina as all the other forms of boxing. Their movement and tactics are similar to that of an out-fighter. Fast movement, perfect footwork giving them a significant 25% speed boost, and a wide range of fast feints. An inside fighter can end a fight with one powerful perfect punch, but they can also win by tiring out their opponent and going in for the finish do to their almost endless amount of stamina.
- Brawler* A brawler is a fighter who generally lacks finesse and footwork in a battle ,but makes up for it through sheer punching power, doing twice as much damage as an inside fighter. Many brawlers tend to lack mobility, preferring a less mobile, more stable platform and have difficulty pursuing fighters who are fast on their feet. They may also have a tendency to ignore combination punching in favour of continuous beat-downs with one hand and by throwing slower, more powerful single punches. Their slowness and predictable punching pattern, single one use punches with recognizable movement are easy to predict. But Brawlers found a way around this. They are capable of withstanding a phenomenal amount of damage before going down. Any and all type of damage is dimmed down two ranks lower from the original rank. This doesn't mean they are immune to damage, but it just takes a lot longer for their body to process the actual pain.
- Counter Puncher* Counter punchers are slippery, defensive style fighters who often rely on their opponent's mistakes in order to gain the advantage whether it be to disarm an opponent or a gain a perfect knockout. They use their well rounded defense to avoid or block attack and then immediately catch the opponent off guard with a well placed and timed punch. Thus, fighting against counter punchers requires constant feinting and never telegraphing a attack for the counter puncher to generate a good offense from. Counter punchers and outside boxers have the same speed, but the counter puncher has the force of a Inside boxer when releasing a punch.
Limit: A Member can pick any two of the four forms of boxing.
